Auf jeannie's diary: "Also, I forgot to mention that a little while before the show started, they showed a video of all these Eels live clips, interview excerpts, and all sorts of good stuff, and then toward the end it said, Rock Hard Times, Coming Soon. Now, I don't know if that was referring to the show that was about to start, or if it was a trailer for a possible EELS DVD. It felt like a trailer, but it never mentioned a DVD specifically. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it is a DVD."
Das wär der Hammer. Endlich die lang ersehnte EELS DVD. Wie gesagt: Let's keep our fingers crossed....

I asked him about live recordings of this tour, and he said that the band definitely intends to document this tour, but they didn't know exactly how or when the release would be. He told me to stick around for the next segment, a clip of the DVD, which they hope to have out by Christmas. It's called Rock Hard Times. The clip itself is mostly interviews where E is being a jackass, and some live clips, studio work (like KCRW sessions), and comical title cards (1 band, 29 transient band members, 1 dysfunctional permanent member, 2000 stupid questions, 1 answer: ROCK). ... aber dann sollen se´s mal auch so richtig krachen lassen und eine 10 Stunden Doppel-DVD veröffentlichen ...

Wovon träumst du nachts?
Scheint wohl eher eine Zusammenstellung alter Interviews zu werden. Plus Eels with Strings. Der Live-Part dürfte also ca. 2 h nicht überschreiten ... Aber was moser ich rum, Hauptsache überhaupt eine offizielle DVD!

... na, zumindest die bisherigen Videos kann man doch wenigstens erwarten ... wobei Souljacker part I / Wenders bisher mein absoluter Liebling ist und wohl auch bleibt ...
